NFL Scout Reveals Shocking Prediction For Packers’ Jordan Love
Wm. Glasheen/USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin / USA TODAY NETWORK

Green Bay Packers star Jordan Love is coming off of a phenomenal inaugural season as the team’s starting quarterback.

Love threw for 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns and 11 interceptions while completing 64.2 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 96.1 in 2023, leading the Packers to a playoff appearance. He also guided the club to a Wild Card Round win over the Dallas Cowboys before falling to the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round.

As a result of Love’s impressive showing this past year, there are big expectations for the signal-caller heading into 2024, and an NFL scout tells the NFL Analysis Network that Love may reach those expectations and then some.

“I think he’s going to win the MVP award this season,” the scout said. “He’s that good and his supporting cast has gotten better with moves and with development. When it’s all said and done, I’m saying that Love is going to win the NFL MVP this season.”

Love certainly played like an MVP down the stretch in 2023.

After a rather underwhelming start over the first half of the season, Love went on a torrid run over Green Bay’s last eight games, totaling 18 passing touchdowns and just one interception while piloting the Packers to a 6-2 record during that span in the process. He then threw three more touchdowns against the Cowboys in the playoffs, meaning he accumulated 21 touchdowns to one pick over that nine-game stretch.

Obviously, it will be asking a whole lot for Love to play like that over the course of an entire season, but he proved that he has it in him to be a dominant quarterback.

The 25-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Utah State, was selected by the Packers with the 26th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft.

He spent his first three seasons as Aaron Rodgers’ backup, but the door was opened for him to start once Green Bay traded Rodgers to the New York Jets last spring.

We’ll see what Jordan Love does for an encore come September.
