Steelers’ James Harrison Crashes Omar Khan’s Interview To Tease Return To The NFL
Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

The Pittsburgh Steelers have had a remarkable offseason, and with the completion of the draft, anticipation for the upcoming season is at an all-time high. Steelers fans are thrilled with Pittsburgh's draft selections, and experts are echoing their sentiments, praising the team for its stellar draft performance.

Adding to the offseason buzz, Steelers General Manager Omar Khan made an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday. During the interview, they went into discussions about the Steelers' draft picks and various offseason rumors. However, in a humorous turn of events, Khan joked about people always walking in on his appearances, just as James Harrison unexpectedly barged in, taking over the interview. Harrison joked that the Steelers told him they need him for three games in 2024.

“I’m coming to sign. Yeah, he told me to come in and sign a contract they need me for at least three games.”

In a lighthearted moment, Khan shared a joke with Harrison, playfully remarking that he had shut the door for a reason during their amusing encounter. Harrison, before Pat McAfee could field any further questions, walked off, but Khan didn't miss the chance to sing his praises. Describing Harrison as the epitome of a Steeler, Khan underscored his admiration for the former player.

"I will tell you this. We talk about Steeler greats and being a Steeler. It doesn't get much better than that guy right there. He's awesome. He gave us everything."

Although Harrison, now 45 years old, won't be making a return to the Steelers, the jest hint at the possibility of him still delivering three solid games for the team. Known for his unparalleled work ethic, Harrison continues to showcase his dedication through his rigorous workouts, frequently shared on his social media. Not many people would doubt that Harrison could still play with the shape he's in.

Throughout his illustrious NFL career, Harrison terrorized opposing offenses, earning a reputation as a feared competitor. During his remarkable 14-year tenure with the Steelers, he amassed an impressive stat line of 772 tackles, 80.5 sacks, seven interceptions, and eight forced fumbles. Harrison's impact on the field was undeniable, setting the edge for the Steelers and consistently making game-changing plays.

While a comeback to football isn't on the horizon for Harrison, Steelers fans take delight in seeing him remain involved with the team, regularly making appearances and maintaining his connection to the franchise. Many Steelers faithful were excited when Harrison crashed the interview. His energy was loved and is still very much appreciated in the Steelers locker room to this day.

Steelers’ Omar Khan Becoming Very Popular In Pittsburgh

The Steelers have had a remarkable offseason, with Khan leading the charge. His adept maneuvering, talent acquisitions, and strategic roster building have been instrumental. One of his standout achievements was bringing in Russell Wilson and then astutely trading for Justin Fields with just a conditional sixth-round pick, securing two quarterbacks at incredible value.

But Khan, along with Mike Tomlin and Andy Weidl, didn't stop there. They orchestrated additional moves, including acquiring Patrick Queen, and their draft selections were highly praised.

Despite Khan's insistence that no major moves are imminent, Steelers fans remain skeptical. Many believe Khan still has some surprises up his sleeve. Nevertheless, the Steelers have already had a stellar offseason. If Khan manages to pull off one more trade for a star wide receiver, he may find himself immortalized with a statue in Pittsburgh.

He's become very popular among Steelers supporters but that praise will die down if Pittsburgh doesn't turn the corner. The Steelers haven't won a playoff game since the 2016 season. Khan is going all in for the 2024 season in hopes to end their playoff drought. Only that will truly satisfy Steeler Nation.
